I loved the excerpt and can’t wait to read more! I have no idea where this story is going, but I suspect Effie and Henry are going to learn some life lessons along the way. I can’t tell if Effie is supposed to be the protagonist in the story or the antagonist. She comes across as not only uptight but sort of cold. An I’m not sure what to think about Clara. I think she might be a troublemaker.
