I was able to read this as a First Impression and won an ARC of it. This is my honest review in exchange for the ARC that I received.
My initial impression was that the description of the book was interesting. Initially, when I was reading I wasn't sure if this book was going to be my thing. Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was moderately good and the characters were interesting. The world building was what I expected. It was nice to see the conflict the characters faced in such a perilous period of time and the growth that they experienced. There was conflict and it was paired nicely with romance and struggle. The pacing ebbed and flowed in some places and in others it dragged, but overall it was a good book.
