Call of the Raven is an extremely well written novel about Mungo St John, a wealthy man who while at university finds out his father has past away. When Mungo returns home he discovers his life is gone. All of his wealth and privilege no longer exist and the love of his life, Camila, has been taken by Chester Marion. Mungo will have to find away to save Camila and the life he once knew.
I enjoyed both sides of the story. From Mungo losing everything but also from Camila and her fight for survival.
Wilbur Smith does a wonderful job at hooking you from the first chapter. The character development and story line is amazing and will have you on the edge of your seat from the very beginning to the last page. I so enjoyed reading this and look forward to future novels by Wilbur.
