This is part of a series that I have not read, so I only know the characters from this excerpt. It is set in the South during the days of slavery. Out lead, Mungo, is a slave holder, whatever else he is. That is a man swindled out of his land and property. Now he is a man who lives for revenge on the man who swindled him and killed his father.This sounds interesting.
