The cover art made me want to see what Call of the Raven was all about, but my first impression of the book is not all that favorable. I have read many novels where the central theme is revenge, so the main character has to have something special to attract my interest. Mungo St John comes off as pretentious at the beginning and I am not sure if the author will be able to evolve the character enough to give him redeeming qualities. If I saw this book at my local bookstore, I would pass it up, but I might check it out from the library.
