I come across a lot of retelling later. From Beauty and the Beast to King Arthur. And have to say that’s nothing wrong with a good retelling as long as it’s not that obvious. To me every story has its own spark. It’s own way to grab you and hold you tight. And By the book has a title that for me was a bit of “stopped me in my tracks”.. “hmm! What’s this about” and the rest is history! What for ever romantic book lover doesn’t love a good love story specially as the storyline is full with book references?! It’s quirky and sweet and funny and romantic. Enough to make you want to read it in one sitting because let’s face it, a book who leaves you smiling is a book that’s worth reading in one sitting.
