The cover and title were what first attracted me, I’ll admit. Reading the description, I wavered....it really sounded a little more “romancy” than I generally can stand. Regardless, I had (reluctantly) added it to my To Be Read list. I’m grateful for the sneak peek allowed here. Full disclosure....I expected to be satisfied that it was not my taste and to remove it from my list. I was delighted, however, to be pulled in by the characters and the storyline. I have noticed references to Jane Austen’s Persuadion in the publicity around this book. As a fan of Austen, I am looking forward to reading this book and discovering the correlation for myself. I am hoping that the remainder of the story does not disappoint.
