Loved the Collegiate Setting
Maybe because I love the world of academia and literature, a book about a college English Lit professor was sure to capture my interest. I was intrigued almost from the beginning and when the quick plot twist of the new college president Turing out to be Anne’s ex- fiancé, I was hooked.
This book was easy to read and just a few chapters in, I already felt like I knew Anne and was cheering for her to earn tenure, to get the guy, to have the life she deserves.
The fact that this book is a modern day version of one of my favorite Jane Austen novels just enhanced the allure and made reading, and making the inevitable comparisons, that much more enjoyable.
Not too deep or difficult to read, yet not full of fluff nor lacking substance, this was a joy to read.
