I Want to Know More!
*This is a review of just the first 35 pages. Thanks to Bookish for providing a “First Look”!*
I am a sucker for books set in academia— an insular world tends to bring drama to the foreground. After reading the first chapter, I am intrigued with the story of Adam and Anne— What went wrong? How will they connect again? What exciting things does Adam have planned for Fairfax? (In this age of spiraling tuition costs, it’s nice to see his first initiative is fundraising to offset tuition costs).
I loved the story of how Adam proposed to Anne— a proposal sure to win the heart and hand of any book nerd!
The minor characters also seem like they are fully fleshed characters that will add to the pleasure of reading the story.
