Fun, Enjoyable Read
Anne Corey is an English professor trying to make tenure. She needs to get a book deal to keep her on track to get her promotion. Now she finds out the new president of the college is her first love and ex-fiancé Adam. The book runs the gambit of Anne’s life, the struggles of trying to make tenure and surviving on a college professor’s pay, taking care of her aging father, her resurfacing feelings for her ex-fiancé and her new romance with the new hot writer-in-residence. I love the interactions between Anne and her best friend Larry. Everyone should have at least one friend you can be a little crazy with. Larry was a funny and enjoyable character.
This is a light, funny, witty novel. Definitely a good summer read. It was a welcoming change from my normal romantic suspense and thriller book. I would be more than willing to read more books from this author.
