I LOVE books set on college campuses (especially those that do a truly excellent job at capturing the vibrancy and energy associated with college campuses) and I am also a sucker for a good Jane Austen retelling, so this book was almost guaranteed to please me.
I also think that the profession of college professor was a perfect choice for an Austen retelling. It just feels right and seems to go well with so many of Austen's original characters, some of whom were quite bookish and intellectual.
I also appreciated Anne's research topic because I think that it flows so well with the general themes of books/literature/Austen that are so well encapsulated within the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fairly light, but nonetheless enjoyable read.
