Oh, this was such a sweet excerpt from this book. The minute I saw the words Jane Austen in the synopsis I was hooked.
I really liked the writing style; it was an easy, quick read. The use a flashbacks was seamlessly interwoven into the modern-day narrative. I also found the writing accessible even though these are supposed to be ivy-league educated individuals.
I really liked Anne. You can tell that Anne is at a crossroads in her life, but that she has real intelligence and talent. Anne does not, however, have self confidence and has not met peace with the past which is not uncommon for many women who are going through periods of career or relationship uncertainty.
I have not fully decided yet how I feel about Adam, but I'd like,to read more,and find out!
