This is the first book I've read by Lynda La Plante and I'm excited to read more! Being a fan of mystery novels I sometimes find it hard to find one that I don't have figured out early on in the book. With La Plante I thought I had it figured but then found myself second guessing...she definitely had me on my toes and wanting to read more to find out if I was right. That is a good thing in my opinion. Even though I may have guessed who was responsible the finding out how was such a treat!
Seeing how she seamlessly intertwined the characters and the plot was entertaining within itself. Her style is unique for sure.
Buried is in my opinion a strong story with not one but two mysteries to solve along the way. The main character Jack Warr is intriguing as are the women in the prologue who we get to know throughout the book. If you enjoy a good mystery then this is a great choice.
