LOVED the authors writing. I have never read a book from this author, so this is a first for me. The story line was super easy to follow and the characters were fun to follow. I really enjoyed following Jack’s personal struggles with home life as well as him trying to find his way at the police department. While investigating a fire at Rose Cottage, he finds himself looking for his father. He was adopted as a young boy and had a lot of questions needing answered. Including how his father and his current investigation are connected. What would his father have to do with the train robbery from decades ago and why would someone charr a body surrounded by money at the Rose Cottage?? You must read to find out. This book was soo good and I’m really hoping there is a 2nd book.
