I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is the start of a new series about a British policeman, Jack Warr, struggling to find himself and who he wants to be. The body of a man found in a burning building leads Jack to two unsolved mysteries from the past and a mystery about his own past. The story was interesting and did keep the reader wanting to know more. The mystery wasn’t really such a mystery to me as I read but it was still a fun story. The perspectives changed between Jack and various characters in the mystery and was at times a little confusing as some were clearly marked as changes and some weren’t. All in all this was a good story that has inspired me to look up more by this author.
