I thought the premise was brilliant, and the first scene had me intrigued to find out more! But I found it hard to connect to the modern storyline, with an abrupt jump between POVs mid-chapter. It was disconcerting. It was also a bit difficult to get into the writing as their repetitive swearing (not just that they swore, but the use of the exact phrase "fuck me" twice in like... 1-2 pages) felt a little over the top. Overall I might be persuaded to try this one if I saw friends write good reviews of it!
