Small town charm with a bit of mystery!
I have always been partial to romances set in small towns and Breakfast at the Honey Creek Cafe met all my expectations, and more. Although I wasn't sure how all the characters' story lines would intertwine when I began reading, I was delighted with how seamlessly they all flowed together.
Piper is the Mayor of Honey Creek with rumors flying around about her. There are claims her fiancé went missing, she claims he wasn't even her boyfriend. Colby is brought to town, undercover, to get to the bottom of it - with a cover story of Piper being the one that got away, although he never had her to begin with. This book was so easy to get lost in, reminding me why I have always been a fan of Jodi Thomas' novels. Her writing instantly takes you to the town of Honey Creek and you feel like a local - which delights this small town girl.
