Intriguing mystery with strong characters

A mayor with a missing fiancée, a state trooper working “off the books” to find the truth and a new preacher in town sets the stage for a mystery with a possible touch of romance. Mayor Piper Mackenzie comes from an influential family and her brother Max, a Texas Ranger, has asked his friend Cody McBride to look into the disappearance to prevent any scandal touching the family. Sam Cassidy is the son of a traveling preacher who has served as an army pilot and a firefighter. After suffering a loss, he comes to Honey Creek to fill in for their sick pastor. Each of these characters has a strong presence and a story to tell.
