Minah is a very strong character and I really enjoyed reading her story. Break this House is a really well written, emotional coming-of-age story. It is a sad and powerful story about a complicated family situation which explores grief, divorce, mental health, addiction, and difficult family dynamics. Break this House was a quick read and although it was on the shorter side, it packed a lot of powerful things within its pages. I really appreciated the author's writing style and although it is young adult, I was moved as an adult. I think it's a great story for both young people and adults alike and believe that the audience for this novel is wide.
