The verbiage used is definitely someone trying to be "young" and "hip" - it seems so forced and uncomfortable. Right off the bat, it's horrible "Everything about me that Pop and I disagree on he calls a “pro- test.” Us “new-grade young people”—as he labels us—always gotta be hollerin’" This is just not something I could get over.
