The thing that captured my attention right away was the letter to the reader which is an excellent idea. The connection between Minah and her dad is apparent from the beginning and the way the format goes between story and then messages is a nice touch. I am very interested in finding out what Minah finds out about her estranged mother and how she deals with it.
