I'm not a fan of these type of stories, but I understand the importance of them.
This seems like a book with heavy topics, which for me is hard to read. Reading about abandonment always upsets me as is something my mom lived, but I think it's important these topics are touched so teens going through a similar situation can find something to relate to.
