I really liked the collection of different stories. Each one focuses on a different situation and different relationships. From a woman making sense of an incident in her life to the ties between family members trying to get closure. It really wasn't what I expected but the stories were still mostly enjoyable. I also enjoyed the preface where the author explains why she was compelled to write these stories. So many feelings that the audience is lead through is quite a ride. I hadn't ever read a book by this author before and I'm glad I was able to read this one. Because each story is quite different, there's bound to be at least one story in the collection that speaks to you or sticks to you after you're done reading the story.
