I really enjoyed the concept and execution of this book. Definitely not for everyone, since it does move a little slower with a little less action than most thriller books. This book follows a crime from the beginning through finding the alleged killer. It details the ups and downs of the investigation and you definitely have a front row seat at various interviews.
My only complaint is there was very little action to speak of. This book is strictly a police procedural, with no action to speak of outside interviews and talking amongst police and suspects.
I haven’t read any La Plante books previously, but would be interested in reading some. Either in this series or another one, it’d be great to give another one a go! Great book!
