This book keeps you on your toes throughout much of it. The main story is about Jane trying to solve the gruesome murder of a well known celebrity agent. As the case stalls out it seems that Jane and the team may not figure out who committed this horrible crime. But as they continue to dig they find many who could possibly have a motive to want the man dead. Jane also finds another crime that has been committed that parallels this crime. She is also being drawn into something by a former colleague that she is unsure of and really is not prepared for once she discovers what is going on. But in what seems to be true Tennison style she steps up and not only does the unexpected she keeps at the investigation until she brings together all the loose ends....or at least most of them. It's a good read.
