One thing that stuck out to me in this book was how in depth the story goes into the murder of Charles Foxley. We learn so much about him and his past. But to me that made it feel more real and pulled me into the story more. It was straight forward and I really enjoyed that.

I enjoyed reading about the suspects too but wish some of them would have been more in depth.

In my opinion, this was a very good book with a good mix of cop and murder. It pulled me in and kept me interested. Even though this is in a series, all the information needed from the previous books is included in the narrative and you don't necessarily need to read all the previous books to understand this one.

This is a great police procedural and doesn't dwell too much on the psychological thriller part of the murder. If you enjoy police procedurals, then I recommend that you check this one out.
