A good mid-series thriller
Jane Tennison must navigate the salacious world of theatre to solve a brutal murder in the heart of London's West End, in the brilliant new thriller from the Queen of Crime Drama, Lynda La Plante.
Though I read a lot of mysteries and thrillers I have to admit I had never heard of Lynda La Plante prior to reading this book. I enjoyed her writing style and character development (especially Jane). However, I quickly realized this book was one of a series that La Plante has been writing for some time, and occasionally I felt like I was missing something (or a lot of things) in the backstory for various characters. Regardless, this is still a well written thriller and is worth a read as a stand alone if you’re looking for a quick, readable mystery!
