This seems like a really interesting mystery, but this book is super slow to start. Part of that is setting up the scene, introducing the reader to the characters and the setting, but the first few chapters felt like too much setting up. I feel like the book should have officially started farther in, around chapter 3 or 4, with the information from the first couple chapters introduced gradually like flashbacks.
