This book takes place in England, which I like as a change of pace. What immediately caught my attention was Jane's seeming struggle with self defense. I found out later it was because she reacted poorly and froze when a gun was pulled at a crime scene. I like that Jane is dealing with the repercussions of what happened that day. I also like that her and Spencer both seemingly got demoted due to separate incidents and are bored until they discover a brutal murder and set of to solve it. I would love to find out if they are able to solve the case and if Jane and Spencer get their reputations back!
