**First impressions based on excerpt** It’s hard to write a new concept when it comes to cop thrillers, but what is needed is fast-paced action that keeps the reader engaged, and this story seems to have that. The background of the main character is fairly quickly established within the first 30 pages, and then the reader is thrown right into the murder and investigation. I can definitely say that was gripped from the beginning and am anxious to read the entire book.
