The Bluff was totally unexpected in how satirical and humorous it would turn out to be. The main character was so well developed I actually felt like I knew her personally. I found myself cheering for her at each adventure as it unfolded. I was entertained at her behavior and most certainly her attitude towards everything. What could easily have turned into another run of the mill story about gamblers and their gambling approaches was crafted into a well thought out plot and well developed story line that is a sure fire hit. It kept me turning page after page and the suspense, while not thrilling, was enough for me to feel like I had a stake in the outcome. A purely delightful book too read.
