Right from the start, this book drew me in. The cover is attention capturing, it's simplicity and the blood dripping from the title is very effective.
As soon as I started reading the book just wouldn't let me go. It is a fun read right from the first sentence.

with red and gold leaves, like a beautiful dawn before the dark

I love that first sentence and I knew it was going to be a great read from there.
I love Maud's character, she is a strong woman with a craving for revenge.
