This book definitely has a more memorable opening scene than a lot of the other books i have read this year. A fifty something socialite, Maud Warner, walks into the Four Seasons restaurant in NYC and then she shoots a man named Sun Sutherland. She walks out calmly and boards a train to D.C. This leaves the reader wondering why she chose to shoot Sun and not the other man who was dining with him. Burt is the one she blames for her family fortune being gone.

This book has a great writing style. It is so quirky and old school and has lots of twists and turns. This book is a refreshing breath of fresh air. The first half was the best half of the book in my opinion. This book may have done better if it had been a novella instead of a longer book. Definitely recommend this one if you are in the mood for a mystery or something different.
