This was an awesome book! I really like how it fleshed out Aeduan's story and you got to see some details about when he was younger. The dynamics between him and Iseult were great and made up for the lack of Safi and Merik who were off on separate adventures for most of the book. I also really liked Vivia, who got much more likeable in this novel as opposed to in Windwitch when she seemed like the villain. She deserves to have a happy ending.

It was non stop excitement as all the sides in the war that was started after the truce was broken got their acts together and all were after Safi and Iseult, the chosen ones of prophecy, to kill or capture them.

The only bad thing I can say about this book is that it leaves me hanging and longing for the next one right away!
