I absolutely loved the other Witchlands books and from the first few chapters of Bloodwitch, it seems like this one will be even better than the others!

Dennard immediately plunges the reader into action, picking up right where she left off at the end of the second book and picking up the "threads" (so to speak) of Aeduan, Iseult, Vivia, Merik, and Safi. In beginning with the glimpse of Aeduan's past, it seems like we're going to learn a lot more about his character and his history in this book, which is extremely exciting. The diverse cast of characters are all fumbling their way through different but equally tricky situations and the chapter breaks are masterfully crafted cliffhangers that left me wanting to know more right away!

The one thing that I will say is that this book picks up so abruptly that it might merit a reread of the other Witchland books before I can read Bloodwitch-- bits and pieces came back to me right away, but all of the intricacies of the world-building and character motivations that Dennard spins into her work require a bit more of a refresher for me.
