First of all, I absolutely love the cover of this book. It is the type of cover that would cause me to buy it based solely on that alone. While the cover is absolutely amazing, that is not the only thing this book has going for it. The stuff inside the cover is wonderful as well. This book has it all: a little bit of magic, a little bit of mystery, and a little bit of murder. Catrin is an orphaned girl with a unique and magical gift: magical sight that is powered by the moon. Catrin witnesses a murder and is pulled into a thrilling and dangerous adventure while she uses her gift and abilities, while also trying to hide them, to stop the killer and save future victims. Another character important in this gripping novel is Simon, the intriguing genius assigned to catching the killer. If you enjoy mystery and magic, this book is for you. You will find yourself unable to set it down until you reach the end.
