The thrilling mystery of it all is compelling enough on its own but add in some moonlight magic and haunting visions and it’s a recipe for intrigue and dark charm!

The detail throughout is just magnificent. Drawing the mind to envision every swirl of blood encroaching shadow, every strand of light through stained glass and every moonlit path. Constantly keeping the reader on their toes these characters are shrouded in doubt, dismissed, doubted again, and through it all this deeply troubling thriller also tackles conversations about religion, and art, mental illness and nature over nurture. It’s poignant and saddening; the struggle with mental health, caregiver fatigue, and what that means for everyone involved. But there is also a splendid amount of love that is woven throughout and a touch of unique magic that binds it all together!

** If you don’t know a flying buttress from a gallery from a transept arch then you should probably go ahead and print out a diagram before you start delving into this one. Trust me it will be helpful!
