The cover sucked me in (I could see this being a cover buy), but I also have really enjoyed Erin Beaty’s other books. The first several pages helped set the scene, and by the end of it I knew I would want to read more. I love a good murder mystery, and I’m excited to see how Catrin and Simon both fit into all of this. I love that a young woman is working so well in a “man’s profession.” I’m eager for more world-building and more of the story!
