A Familiar Hunt with a Fresh Infusion of Paranormal

The immediate vibe I get from this first read is Jack the Ripper meets Underworld and I am not disappointed. Catrin is a girl with a ear for the dead and a rather unlucky foresight for gruesome crimes. Simon is a brooding young man who can track the criminal mind. The two are destined to be two halves of a paranormal mystery solving duo. This first chapter tantalizes, not only with the discovery of a brutal murder, but with the mysterious significance of Catrin's connection to the moon and the hooded People of the Night know as Selenae.
