I am really sad that I didn't like this book more because I have read most of this author's other books and I really enjoyed them. So I did really want to like this. It took me so long to get into and I had a hard time enjoying it. It definitely got better toward the end but I feel like that didn't make up for it. I think the pacing was very off for the book and that made it harder to enjoy. I also did not like how repetitive it felt. A lot of the plot twists were not very hard to predict, though the one at the end definitely did catch me by surprise.
I did really enjoy the characters but I felt like they kept having the same conversations and problems. And while I did like the relationship between Ziva and Kellyn, I feel like this story would have made more sense if Ziva was asexual or even into women because a lot of time is spent on how she hasn't felt attracted to anyone before (but that's just my opinion).
Overall, I do wish that I liked this more but sadly it was really hard for me to get into to :(
