This was my first time reading a book by Tricia Levenseller, and I loved it! It was action packed, humorous, and relatable with just the right amount of romance was put into it.
Levenseller’s characterization is on point. Each one has their own story to tell and they each bring amazing traits to the table.
I love how Levenseller accurately wrote a character who struggles with anxiety and all of the emotions that went through Ziva throughout the course of the book. Even with her struggles, Ziva is so much stronger for it. Fierce, protective, brave, and at the end of the day all heart. YA needs more characters like Ziva.
On the other hand, I love Temra just as much and personally I think it would be great to see her as a main character down the road should we ever get that chance. The bond between sisters in this story was very well done.
Points also for setting and world building, Levenseller does a great job of showing the reader a lot of Ghadra with only one book. I love the different descriptions of each city and village and how they made Ziva feel.
