I love how the author gave the main character social anxiety, giving her realistic flaws that make Ziva relatable. Though opposites, Temra is like a rock for Ziva to hold onto, always there for her. The love between family members is beautiful, especially with their parents dead.
Kellyn's hate-to-love relationship with Ziva adds a nice, conflicted touch to the story.
Kellyn's character development is pretty good. He goes from being a lazy, useless addition to the journey, to a useful, romantic person.
The writing style the author used on the characters is good, making the characters relatable despite who you are. From annoying Kellyn to anxious Ziva, I love the diversity of the characters.
The cover is elegant and vibrant, and the sword relates well to the plot. The flames swirling around it probably refers to the fact that Ziva uses heat as a blacksmith.
Overall, it's an amazing book.
