I was surprised by how captivated I was with this story. I loved the characters and the bond they developed as they traveled on their adventure. I couldn’t help but root for them and I didn’t want to stop reading because I was so invested in their story. The characters were so likeable and they felt like real people, flaws and all. Ziva was my favorite character. The way she pushed through her fears and loved her loved ones so fiercely was inspiring and heart felt. I love books with adventure and magic and this one definitely fit the bill. As soon as I finished this one, I had to pick up the second book right away because I just had to know how their story was going to end. I will definitely be recommending this book!
