First of all, the cover is awesome. So vibrant and bold and the picture pops right out at you. Then there is a map. I am a sucker for a good map in a book. It means there will be travel, and hopefully many adventures.
I love that Zira, the main character has such a love for her job/career. The way she describes how much she loves working with all the different metals. She imbues them with magic which is even cooler, and the best part is that she has anxiety. It's such a common issue with people and very rarely do main characters have flaws! Not that this is even a flaw, she isn't social, her anxiety is extreme, her safe place is her forge and her sister. So excited to read an awesome book about a character that isn't ridiculously perfect!!
