Although slow to start, the world building gradually hooked me and drew me in to the point where when I got to the end of the "First Look," I had lost track of how much I had read and imagined that I would keep reading.
Having read this author before and not really liked that book, I want to give her a second chance. This preview portion seemed like this might be the book for me to give that second chance with.
