Unfortunately, the first look for The Blade of Secrets by Tricia Levenseller did not draw me in. The main character, Ziva, was okay but the writing just felt lazy. I was also not too impressed with the story. It feels like the book is trying too hard. YA fantasy is also just not my thing.
