First, I love when books have maps, especially when they have detail to it. It's nice to be able to visualize where stories take place. The first look itself wasn't bad, it just did not fully pull me in. I found it interesting enough to read the whole thing but it did not peak my interest enough to want to read much further. I do enjoy fantasy books so it also makes it harder for me to get into new ones since I read the genre pretty often. The cover is really pretty though. I think it definitely suits the first few chapters well.
