The plot sounds interesting and I enjoy fantasy and YA, but I was bored by the beginning and the narrator’s style. If she continues to narrate- she, being the main character- in that manner, I would remain bored throughout. It just wasn’t an engaging start, so chances are good that I won’t read it.
