To be honest, I was not immediately excited when I saw this book on BookishFirst, because I have previously read and DNFed one of the author’s earlier works. But, I am incredibly glad that I decided to give the synopsis a read because I am officially interested in Blade of Secrets, regardless of my previous opinions of the author’s work! As someone with an anxiety disorder, it is so exciting to see representation in a fantasy novel, especially one that I find otherwise intriguing! I have not seen a YA novel about a metalworking protagonist before and I know I am going to have to grab a copy of this one!
