This book totally exceeded my expectations! I felt like I would enjoy it but didn't think it would be one that I wasn't able to put down. I loved it and it's definitely one I would read again! Darren works at starbucks and is given a once in a lifetime opportunity after he talks a regular customer, Rhett, into a different coffee than he normally orders. Being the only person of color made Darren more determined to survive hell week and to not let things done to him get to him or give them any reason to think less of him. Having to deal with Clyde's shenanigans during hell week and Clyde giving him the nickname of Buck he embarks on a path where he starts to lose himself and the things that matter most to him. Reading about his successes at the new job and the turns it had his life take was so good to read but the more you read the better it got and the ending was unexpected
